Friday Night, Saturday Morning

After a week or so of seeing the first exhibitions being hung at the Open Eye Gallery’s brand new waterfront location at the Pier Head, I also got to to shoot two opening weekend events. First up was the official launch on the Friday night, which was packed out and fantastic to see the place finished and full, and then on the Saturday morning there was an American breakfast with Mitch Epstein who gave a guided tour to his American Power exhibition. Fantastic Friday night and a great way to wake up on a Saturday.  I thought this would be the last post from the Open Eye move but I’m back again this week shooting some interiors of the finished space so I’ll no doubt post them up once I’m done. But, in the meantime, the place is now open and you can find their opening times on their shiny newsite!
