The Big House are made up of Paul Molloy (formerly of The Zutons and The Skylarks if you want to go right back) and Candie Payne who I’ve worked with loads of times over the years and, whilst they’ve been doing acoustic gigs across the city for the past couple of years, they’ve finally got a band together and a debut single is already picking up airplay. There’ll be more news on here about the single release in a week or two but in the meantime, book yourself a ticket for the full band’s first outing on June 30th at The Kazamier or check out one of them rare acoustic gigs today as they play a 3pm set in The Music Consortium on Bold Street. This photo was from a session last week and there’ll be more to follow. Oh and, no, the band’s name’s got sod all to do with The Vines on Lime Street.
