Well it rained before it started and it rained when it was over but for 6 hours yesterday afternoon and evening , Shy Lowen managed to stay dry long enough for the second annual (yes, I’m sure it’ll be back next year) music festival which is sort of Americana themed just ahead of July 4th! The event, put together by Mike Badger saw loads of bands and singers playing but one of the best moments was when a couple asked Mike if they could play next year to which he replied, ‘how about you play next?’ and they duly got up and filled in for somebody who couldn’t make it and they just added to the surreal nature of a Liverpool music festival set amid a field of dancing horses on the outskirts of the city. Another big success and a fantastic amount of much needed cash was raised for the sanctuary, not to mention carrots, but feel free to check their site out should you want to help some more!
Whilst I also blog some of my commercial work and commissions outside of Liverpool on my main portfolio site, Rivercool is dedicated to my work in and around the city and maybe sometimes just a little bit further afield as I work regularly across the region. Rivercool features both photo and video content from past and present and will include other photo news from the city and beyond.
