Whilst I’m still wading through 3,000 plus images of Sound City (and a whole lot more from other jobs), I thought I’d keep the blog down under themed with two Australian bands that I saw play on the Thursday and then made sure I didn’t miss when they played on Saturday. First up were an amazing retro rock sounding duo called Jackson Firebird who had the Aussie BBQ at Heebeejeebies going mad mid afternoon before heading down to Screenadelica for the second show by Ironside. Both were loud, both were very funny between songs, both were as hard as I can take my music and both were brilliant. Australia always shows up at Sound City with great down under performers but these two plus a Rolf Harris appearance in the same week says the country done good!. Right then, back to wading through Lightroom and keep an eye on this space as there’s a lot more Sound City blogging to come.
